Freelance film marathon- or so it felt
Left home for set- 10 a.m. yesterday
Returned home from set- 9 a.m. today
I did grip and electric work on this feature in Fredrick,
lifted things I’m not really capable of lifting,
learned that terms like pig noses and lolipops are actually part of lighting a set (3-2 prong outlet adapters and parts of larger light stands),
saw Wee Man in a super hero outfit jump through a window,

Miles per minute
Released into a fog
thickly diffused from urban sodium street lights,
that faded branches quickly into silhouttes of black to gray
never gray to black.
Breaking or braking into utter silence
with the exception
of
interior radios playing
loudly,
the expression
of colored beams
that danced on scene(s)
welcoming the quickening of thoughts
and the slowing (screeching halt) of cavaliers.
It hurts to let go. Sometimes it seems the harder you try to hold on to...

In (with) Motion
The quicker the pace,
the faster release,
the more we shake

That sting.
The slower this heals,
for you (to) or me.
Email of awesome
Email message from the Producer of a commercial I just worked on:

Pace
“And then I stopped to think,”
she thought
Endangered by chaotic tangles
that stung
a sweetly as they coiled.
“And then I stopped to walk,”
she thought,
in stride,
Encumbered by moving pavement
that raced
as smoothly as it slowed.
